The problems of (i) a<br \/>\n       vertical tangentially oscillating planar and of<br \/>\n       a corrugated periodic vertical wall are considered.<br \/>\n       Both of these dynamics are analyzed analytically<br \/>\n       and numerically in the framework of these equations.<\/p>\n<p>       In problem (i) the set of evolution equations admits<br \/>\n       a solution corresponding to a flat film with a temporally<br \/>\n       periodic volumetric flow rate. Using Floquet theory<br \/>\n       stability of this solution is investigated. In the<br \/>\n       region of instability of time-periodic flow, forcing<br \/>\n       of the traveling wave and non-stationary wave regimes<br \/>\n       arising in the unmodulated system, results in the emergence<br \/>\n       of quasiperiodic and apparently chaotic regimes, respectively.<br \/>\n       The wave regimes of crest and depression types survive the<br \/>\n       forcing imparted by plane oscillation. The existence of<br \/>\n       regions of asymptotical stability of the flat film<br \/>\n       with a temporally periodic flow rate provides the window<br \/>\n       for reduction or even suppression of the waviness of the<br \/>\n       film interface. Numerical investigation of the nonlinear<br \/>\n       dynamics of the modulated film confirms the analytical<br \/>\n       results arising from Floquet theory.<\/p>\n<p>       In problem (ii) steady-state flows are found in the case<br \/>\n       of an asymptotically small wall corrugation and their<br \/>\n       stability is investigated. It is found that steady flow<br \/>\n       regimes arise in the case of a relatively small wall<br \/>\n       wavelength for the Reynolds number below its critical value<br \/>\n       corresponding to the flat-wall flow and for larger amplitudes<br \/>\n       of the wall corrugation when the Reynolds number exceeds its<br \/>\n       critical value.  In the case of a larger wall wavelength,<br \/>\n       the emerging flows are genuinely nonstationary or time-periodic.<br \/>\n       The temporal period of the time-periodic flows increases with the<br \/>\n       amplitude of the wall corrugation and decreases with the<br \/>\n       Reynolds number.
