_/ 題 目: Passive scalar diffusion at high Peclet numbers in
_/ stationary flows
_/
_/ 内 容 : We study the advection of passive scalar in steady 2D flows
_/ at high Pecl¥’et numbers (the Pecl¥’et number is inversely
_/ proportional to the diffusivity of the tracer). We analyze
_/ the asymptotic properties of the stochastic process generated
_/ by a prescribed stationary velocity field (determined by
_/ its stream function H) which is perturbed by random noise
_/ (which is the Brownian motion rescaled by the diffusivity).
_/ The asymptotic behaviour of this process depends heavily on
_/ the geometry of the streamlines and determines the effective
_/ diffusivity of a tracer in the flow. For example, when the domain
_/ is the whole plane the decisive criterion is the boundedness
_/ of the levellines of H.
